A need of hour resolution; UN General Assembly and 15th march as the "International Day to combat islamophobia"

Islam is the religion of peace that directs to respect other religions. The west and its allies are always in search to make Islam responsible for any violence that occurred, despite Islam and its practices having no connection to it to any extent. with reference to western think tanks, Islam is being spread out and depicted as a threat to western culture and values. they not only think to bring false facts to underrepresent but also exercise to downplay Islam at every level, calling it Islamic terrorism, through any source of the channel to reflect that Islam is a religion of discrimination, hatred, fear, Exclusion, avoidance, social anxiety, violence, terrorism and killings. 

it was high time and need of the hour to adopt something with the help of combined acts of Muslim representatives at the international level, for combating and curtailing the imprecise and inaccurate lessons of Islam that bring the wrong perception the mind of common public of World. The west and anti-Islamic bodies try to portray in the world to get the people to show Islam as a wrongdoing practice.

Islamophobia is perceived and defined differently as "fear or hatred of against Islam" or oxford dictionary shows the meaning of Islamophobia As "intense dislike or fear of Islam, especially as a political force, hostility and prejudices towards the Muslims" The term and greek suffix "phobia" denotes aversion and fear. 

In 1991, the word islamophobia was introduced in the Runnymede trust report, and in 1996, established commission on the British Muslims and Islamophobia (CBMI) which illustrate islamophobia as " An outlook or worldwide involving an unfounded dread and dislike of Muslims which results in practices of exclusion and discrimination". this report states some certain misleading and misconceptions about Islam at the foundation of Islamophobia. 

There are following misconception which depict the invalid information to the World.

1) Islam is monolithic and cannot adapt to new realities

2) Islam does not share common values with other major faiths 

3) Islam as a religion is inferior to the West. It is threatening and irrational. 

4)Islam is a religion of violence and supports terrorism. 

5) Islam is a violent political ideology used for political and military advantages.

The organization of  Islamic cooperation founded in 1969 has 57 members, and 56 of them are members of the united nations and 49 members of them are Muslims majority. 

On the contrary of world misconception, The OIC members have stated the concept of Islamophobia again to reveal the true teachings and practices of Islam. A fruitful, expressive and demonstrative speech at United Nation Continuously along with collective concrete measures were taken by the members for ensuring the authenticity and values of Islam and tried every possible activity to bring the attention of the United nation for safety, security of Muslims and Islam and urge them to do something to combat the islamophobia for making a peaceful world. Looking at the world violence due to islamophobic clearly show how anti-Islamic, the west and its allies tried to downplay Islam. In Sweden, on October 22, 2015, 21-years-old extreme right-winger. anton lundin pettersson killed teaching assistant and 17-years-old student of migrant origin at kronan school in trollhattan.

In India in 2020, during protest against religious discrimination, more then 60 muslims were killed, around 250 injured and over 2000 arrested by indian law enforcement authorities. on 3 November 2018, hindu mobs attacked and killed a septuagenarian Muslim man and set his body on fire. not only this but also four rohingya muslims were injured by the attack of hindus. 

In Canada, in 2021 4 members of a family were killed in premeditated vehicle attack in Ontario.

In new Zealand, on 15 march 2019, more than 50 muslims worshipers were killed in twin terror attacks on two mosques during Friday prayer. and A number other Attacks and planned-actions are on record in Germany, France, Switzerland for harming and devalved the prestine religion and the muslims all over the World.

On 16th March 2022, the United nation looking at the previous and current circumstance provided by the collective act OIC members and their united standing before the world's unfairing, degrading approaches toward Muslim and everytime making islam responsible for any West and Anti-islamic-planned violences and threats. 

The United Nations general assembly adopted the resolution that 15th march as the "International Day to combat islamophobia". A commendable achievement for Muslims and Islam. the adoption of the resolution as the "International Day to combat islamophobia". by the United Nations General Assembly as a pivotal step towards concrete global actions needed to combat the menace of incitement to hatred, discrimination, and violence based on one's religion.
